    • Still in love with my Burton

      Burton Snowboards

      22 January 2004

Burton Snowboards. The industry standard since Day One. I always wanted a Burton, but went through three other boards and brands before I felt I had reached the level and earned the right (and the money) to ride a Burton. I am still in Love with my Burton Supermodel 168 that I bought in '99. Blue, sleek, long - the ultimate powder board. Not for tricks & treats. For big mountains, steep hills, narrow chutes. For the outdoors. Which I love.

    • I receive recognizing nods

      North Face (The)

      22 January 2004

No person seriously interested in outdoor activities could have missed The North Face. Continuously pushing the envelope and leading the industry of outdoor clothing. My triple-layer Gore-Tex jacket from The North Face is like a home. It keeps me dry, warm and protected. Even strangers acknowledge it, as I receive recognizing nods from passers-by that silently say: "I love the outdoors too."

    • Love it and miss it

      Vigeland Park

      22 January 2004

Simply want to show my appreciation for what Jørgen wrote. Very true, and very nicely written. Vigelandsparken is a wonderful place any time of your - I had the fortune of living within 10 minutes walking distance from it for two years. Love it and miss it.

    • The ultimate

      Ben & Jerry's

      13 February 2004

I read somewhere that when B&J created their ice cream "New York Super Chunk Fudge", the idea was to make the richest, fullest, chocolate-flavoured ice-cream ever! No lo-fat, no diet $#%, just the ultimate ice cream. It is, I assure you! Häagen-Dazs isn't for me - B&J is for poeple who *love* ice cream!

    • A cool character

      Felix The Cat

      29 February 2004

Well, being named Felix, it has been impossible to avoid the cat association. Even while doing a Spanish course in Nicaragua, I naturally got Felix el Gato as my "Spanish" name. It has never bothered me though, simply because Felix the Cat - with his magic bag of tricks - is such a cool character.

    • I am still a devoted fan...

      Depeche Mode

      04 May 2005

I've listened to Depeche Mode since I was about 10 years old, at a time when my borther and I were buying tapes together. And I am actually very proud of having such a sense of quality at such a young age (what are today's ten-year olds listening to??). Though I do prefer the bands music pre-heavy-drugs-and-suicide-attempts (aka Songs of Faith and Devotion), I am still a devoted fan. DM created there own genre of music in my opinion, and no other band has been able to master this style.

    • Red marks for business practice

      Apple

      25 October 2007

Even more evil than Microsoft? Proprietary, closed systems. Incremental product improvements to milk the market for all that it is worth.. Fooling the market for years with under-performing over-priced "power-PC" CPUs only to announce the switch to Intel-CPUs as a "revolution". And the macnatics cheered. I am actually proud to not own a single product from this company. They get some points for great design but big red marks for business practice.
