    • Wonderfully weird and weirdly wonderful

      REMO General Store

      20 January 2004

Strangely enough I have never actually bought anything from Remo yet, but I am still in love with the whole lot. My Remo newsletter is read religiously and I'm always checking out the extremely cool things available on their website. One day, one bright, golden day, I will actually have the money/time/organisational ability to buy something, but meanwhile I am cheered to know that such wonderfully weird and weirdly wonderful things exist.

    • ... sure do love my Birkenstocks

      Birkenstock

      20 January 2004

Oooh yes, I sure do love my Birkenstocks. I was a poor sad person with very large feet and orthotic supports. Shoe buying was a nightmare to be avoided till the last minute and then I would usually end up with men's shoes anyway. Thank goodness someone finally told me about Birkenstock shoes - if only I'd known years before! They're rather pricey but they are the most comfortable shoes ever and can even be made to fit specific needs. Summer sandals here I come!

    • A happy little vegemite!

      Adobe

      16 February 2004

As a graphic designer I am in love with this program. As an artist I am in love with this program. As a photographer, a web designer and even as a mother of six I am in love with program. I design things for my job using it (my job being just an excuse to play, really) and make my kids birthday invitations. I stick smiling children into Faery gardens and creat weird effects for all sorts of things. Though my husband, a Linux programmer, tries his best to convert me to other programs there just isn't one that matches Photoshop for ease of use and mega-ability. With an Apple computer, a digital camera, a decent printer and a copy of PhotoShop I am definitely a happy little vegemite!

    • Their true value is in the history

      Mikimoto Pearls

      21 May 2004

I have a set of Mikimoto pearls that are extremely precious to me. They were given to me by my Grandfather on the birth of my first child. Each pearl was individually selected by my Grandfather and strung together as a gift for my Grandmother on the birth of their first child, 70 years ago. They are really beautiful but their true value is in the history that goes with them and the memories they bring of my late Grandparents. I am honoured that they were passed on to me.
