    • Jump on the bus

      Partridge Family (The)

      11 September 2004

I think I love you! What 40+ female adult can forget David Cassidy? I wanted to be in that family with a strong Mom like Shirley Jones. It is back, VHI the reality show. I listen to D. Cassidy's current cds, and really enjoyed listening to Danny Bonaduce as an on air DJ in Chicago! Let's all jump on the bus and watch the 2004 version of The Patridge Family...

    • Throughout the day

      The Wiggles

      11 September 2004

My 3 year old Granddaughter loves "Shafari" - This Wiggles CD has incorporated the Crocodile Hunter Steve in it and she is fascinated. The music certainly can stick with you throughout the day...

    • I dreamt ...

      BMW

      11 September 2004

Not just for snobs anymore! I dreamt of owning a convertible - any make or model. I purchased a BMW -328ci and now I will never own any other type of car! I upgraded this year to a newer one. Blue and gorgeous. Smooth drive and so fun to be in alone and with my husband, driving by the shore. I never worry, any maintenance is minor and well taken care of by my local dealer.

    • Have you ever...

      Barnes & Noble

      11 September 2004

My time at B&N is relaxing and private! It is not a library because of the "quiet" hussle and bussle of other B&N addicts. I always stop by the books recommended by the staff. Their descriptions of the book often intrique me enough to purchase the book. This must be my favorite place to purchase gifts! Gift cards, books, book markers, journals and CD's. Have you ever been in a store, loved the music on their sound system and wanted to know who the artist was so you could buy that CD? I have, and when I asked the store employees about the CD, THEY HAD NO CLUE who the artist was! That will not happen to you at B&N; you can head back to the music department and the CD playing is displayed for you to see. Love it!

    • The theme song should be...

      Bare Escentuals

      30 October 2004

The theme song for this make-up should be;"You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman"... a Carole King classic. My daughter introduced me to the product two years ago, and I have not worn any other make-up since. Leslie Blodgett the CEO is very much a part of her company and its day to day operation. My daughter is a "testimonial" in her latest QVC/at home video.

    • It evolves with the changes

      Tupperware

      30 October 2004

Thank you Mr. Tupper; you have kept my Mother busy for the last 30 years. She is a loyal Tupperware Lady; holding house parties and spreading the word about the lifetime guarantee of the product. It evolves with the changes in our kitchens-microwaves, dishwashers and convection ovens to name a few.

    • A feeling that overcomes me

      Frank Lloyd Wright

      30 October 2004

One with nature and time is a feeling that overcomes me when I walk into a FLWright home. Bungalows in Milwaukee, House on the Rock in WI to name a few. My favorite designs often adorn windows - the squares of brown, black, amber, & clear letting the natural light flow inside. My living room is designed around one Frank Lloyd Wright glass vase. I love spending time with these colors.

    • Wish it was on more often

      Six Feet Under

      30 October 2004

This is a great program, the actors are phenomenal. Each episode starts out with a death and proceeds to let you into this family's "everyday" lives. The father has passed over now and is brought into most of the shows as a "dream" -"shadow"- with advice and comments about all of the events at hand. My fav family member is Claire the 19 year old daughter. She is an artist and friend to every underdog in the crowd. This is a must-see program. I wish it was on more often, the breaks in between seasons are very long.

    • Healthy for life

      Weight Watchers

      31 October 2004

Fighting the Scale has been part of my adult life. Falling prey to many of the fad diets and eating trends of the moment has not been a successful, long term choice for me. I have returned to the eating plan that fits anyone and most "normal" life styles. Take a client to lunch, enjoy a wine by the fire and take care of your body. Nothing is impossible with the support of a Weight Watchers team leader and your own willpower. I feel healthy again. Healthy for life - the right way.

    • What a great way to come back!

      Rock Star INXS

      31 December 2005

INXS has made the SWITCH. JD Fortune beat out some fabulous young talent to be the new lead singer. He is awesome and so are all the original band members. They helped discover new talent while rediscovering their need to make music in the public on stage. The show rocked and I love the CD, next month I see them in concert. What a great way to come back!

    • True team spirit

      Green Bay Packers

      31 December 2005

Let's give Brett Farve a shout out for perpetuating the true team spirit of the Green Bay Packers of the past and showing all of us what it means to lead a team and never giving up. He is a true inspiration to everyone.

    • Woven together with such imagination

      Wicked - The Musical

      09 January 2006

Gather around the TV for a trip to see the Wizard of Oz, as a young girl and a mother many nights were spent singing along with Judy Garland. Did you ever wonder how the Wicked Witch became so Wicked? You must see this musical on a stage now! The stories are woven together with such imagination and yet you walk away believing it is true. Take the person you grew up watching the Wizard of Oz with, I did and my daughter and I could not stop discussing it on the ride home.

    • Dedicated to helping displaced and homeless

      Dogs Who Care

      25 January 2008

A five pound pooch from NYC and his owner started a foundation to help pets in need find loving homes - Dogs Who Care. "My two legged Mom and I were watching the relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina on TV. We saw an elderly man sitting on a park bench. He had lost everything in the hurricane and as he was getting on a bus to be taken to a safe place, he was told his 16 year old chocolate lab had to stay behind." This inspired them to create a DOGS WHO CARE™ message collar. Schmitty and his two legged Mom created the dog friendly release design to fit any size dog, the color - Schmitty blue! The Dogs Who Care collar looks quite fetching on any dog, and when you order these cool collars, 100% of the profits go to a growing network of shelters and sanctuaries across the country who are dedicated to helping displaced and homeless pets find loving homes. They have aweseome calendars too!

      Lolita Glasses

      25 January 2008

Hand painted wine glasses, hand painted martini glasses, hand painted margarita glasses too! Each hand-painted, themed glass includes the trademark "recipe on the bottom" to help you create a coordinating bar beverage. Plus, each Lolita is delivered distinctively gift boxed. This is a classy wedding, engagement or anytime gift. They are beautiful and fun at the same time. Here are a few: "Lolita Martini Divorce-tini", Lolita Martini Flirtini, Lolita Martini Shopoholic, Lolita Wine New Mommy, and Lolita Wine Glasses Princess. Too many to name all of them. Found in many gift stores and on-line stores. Artist Tracey "Lolita" Yancey founded her own company in 2000 and returned to her first love: art and design. Her return to art has led directly to a product that does not disappoint. Not only are the glasses individually stunning, but their unique marketing twist also makes them instant collectibles.

    • A great product to use

      Carmex

      25 January 2008

This is a great product to use year round! In the heat of the summer, on the coldest winter days it protects your lips without feeling sticky. Unique smell and now has several different varieties we can choose from i.e. Aloe, Cherry. I prefer the tube rather than the orignal small jar. This product is also very inexpensive.

    • His songs will live forever

      John Lennon

    • Spoiled by their awesome customer service

      Indigo Wild

      30 January 2008

Indigo Wild...any more natural and you would be naked. You can purchase all natural products for the body, home , aromatherapy and awesome ZUM soapbars. They use two revolutionary contraptions during the Zum product-making process. They’re called hands. Check out their site, and explore the steps of their handmade processing plant. I personally enjoy lighting one of the hand-poured soy, Zum Glow candles and my favorite scent is - Sandalwood-Citrus. They have created over 33 different scents that are added to room sprays, laundry detergent and soaps to name a few. Now, for a real special product try the ZUM BUM rear-freshment spray. I will let you read more about it on your own! I just love the philosphy of Indigo Wild - bring your dog to work, be an individual, give back to society and have fun on the job. In closing, if you are like me I wondered what ZUM really meant. Zum is simply a play on the word "some". As in "This sure is "zum" bar of soap!" I am spoiled by their awesome customer service.

    • Forever bonded by our meeting

      San Francisco

      13 February 2008

I found my family in San Francisco, my Uncle Clay. My father, Fred and his siblings were separated when he was 3 yrs old. After years of wondering if the other was still living and if so; where did they live, I found him in northern California. Separated for 63 years, we had a tearful and happy reunion in the San Francisco airport. Clay wore a red feather in his hat so we could find him. I would have known him without the feather. He has the same freckles and friendly smile as my father. We spent the day at Fisherman's Wharf just walking, talking and dining together. Now, as they enjoy the twilight years of their lives; they have a brother. Someone to golf with, a person to sound off with and better yet; a brother to give holiday cards too! I have a best friend for life, my cousin Margaret - Clay's daughter. My children have bonded with Margaret's kids and truly are soulmates. The 4th generation, my granddaughter is quickly finding the same love in her new family relationships. We are the Jewell family and we are forever bonded by our meeting in the fabulous city of San Francisco.

    • They are back!

      UGG boots

      13 February 2008

They are back! Brighter, bigger and shorter. Now they appeal to all age groups. My husband wore these boots before they were cool! He has recomended them to many people for years. Now, girls in junior high want more than one pair. They can be worn outside of your jeans, rolled up over your jeans and neatly tucked under them. Try them with a cool skirt and tights. I see them being worn in warm climates and of course the cold weather season. The baby Uggs are so cute. This is a company with quality craftsmanship and creativity. They keep their product in the forefront by designing it in many different styles and colors. Because they are sold by highend retailers and on their own website; price controls help to maintain the integrity of their products. This is a boot that should be around for a long time.

    • Forgetting what is really important

      Starbucks

      13 February 2008

I don't want to loose my faith in this company, but they need to wrap their arms around the deteriorating customer service. I want to get the same great tasting venti, skim, peppermint cuppacinno everytime I order it. The drive thru service is falling behind the company's high service standards. As I read the book, "How Starbucks Saved My Life", my hope is that this company will read this book too! Read their customer feedback, good and bad and take it seriously, so they can remain the example of a great company with a great product. Read the meaningful sayings they print on their coffee cups and take heart. I look forward to sitting inside my favorite location, reading or working as I sip on my favorite coffee drink. I don't want to switch to a different coffee cafe. Sometimes when a company tries to dominate the marketplace they forget what is really important - excellent customer service. Come on Starbucks, step up to the coffee cup and start serving us the way we know you can.
