  Starbucks is my touchstone when I travel, it's a familiar way to start my day. Their lattes are the best to me. The employees at my 'home base' Starbucks are congenial and engaging. They know my name and my drink. They appreciate me as a customer and slip me a 'freebie' latte every now & then.

  Calvin and Hobbes is one of my all time favorites, and more importantly, the all time favorite comics of my son, age 8. We have all the books - they are worn and dog-eared, we've even replaced one that completely fell apart! Always a good read!

  I love Campers! They have whimsy and unique style plus they're really comfy. There's often a 'theme' to a pair of shoes - the left and the right 'go together' but they are not identical.

  I am a Volvo driving soccer mom! I love my V70 - my husband says I am a more confident driver in my Volvo. Sporty and safe, understated but luxurious. My kids, their friends, our junk, my dogs - it carries it all AND it's NOT an SUV! Furthermore, it's paid for and I hope to have it many more years as a 'first car' for my kids to drive.

  I love my Tivo! In fact, I have two because the whole family is addicted and we have diverse tastes in viewing. The luxury of being able to watch your favorite shows when you have time and be able to replay the ending of Law & Order when you fall asleep is one of life's little pleasures.

  Chik-Fil-A is the only fast food I will eat! Founded by Truett Cathey, the restaurants are always closed on Sundays so employees can have a day of rest. The workers in Chick-Fil-A are much nicer than your regular average fast food, probably because they are treated better. The chicken nuggets are delicious as are the waffle fries - fresh made tasting - both of which are excellent finger food to eat on the fly!
