    • Just what I needed as a perfumaniac

      Demeter Fragrance Library

      13 August 2009

As a perfumaniac, Demeter's Library is just what I needed to quench my thirst for fragrances. From the Play-doh smell to the Pure Soap scent, I love them all, sometimes a whiff is all one needs to be comforted. Some scents are sort of weird, but very pertinent (like Rain and Grass). Every time I bring up DFL in a conversation, people get interested and find it amazing what a fragrance can do, how can it change your moods and all. My fav, aside from Pure Soap, is Laundromat - it's so soothing.

    • An inspirational band

      Husker Du

      13 August 2009

Husker Dü is a great example of an inspirational band. Without them, Green Day would be just another punk rock trio. 'Candy apple grey' is iconic and still very modern.

    • I've always been sympathetic to the Grinch

      Dr. Seuss

      13 August 2009

The Grinch has always struck me as a pitiful creature and I've always been sympathetic to him. I love his 'wonderful awful ideas', how they turn out wrong, and how Grinch changes his mind.

    • Most clever

Les Salons du Palais Royal Shiseido

      13 August 2009

Serge Lutens in one of the most clever perfumists ever. His scents are unique and exclusive, a real artistry work. All fragrances are very complex and design to develop slowly on each skin. Most of them are unisex, wich is the golden rule of perfume making - gender is given by the sex of the wearer.

    • Makes an awesome gift

      Moleskine

      13 August 2009

Moleskine makes an awesome gift: useful, cult, and creative. I always give away a Moleskine notebook to someone who will appreciate the history behind it. Everywere I go, my Moleskine comes with me - I use it as a written memory album, with thoughts, ideas, and wishes.

    • The vintage tins are amazing

      Altoids

      13 August 2009

The vintage tins are amazing. I can't help buying them when I see a new one! The little mints are great too. The chocolate covered ones are the perfect sweet at work as it leaves a fresh breath.

    • Celestial Seasonings teas taste great

      Celestial Seasonings

      13 August 2009

Besides the beautiful design and the quotes, all Celestial Seasonings teas taste great. My all time favorite is the peppermint one, it's like candy-cane in a cup. This tea reminds me a lot of Salt Lake City, when we used to sip our teas watching the first snow.

    • A unique construction company

      Tecnisa

      15 August 2009

Tecnisa is a unique construction company. They have not only amazing buildings, but an avant-garde view of the customer relationship, innovative solutions, humanity with their workers, and spectacular sense of sustainability. From selling a US$250,000 apartment on Twitter, to offering a free iPhone application to follow the stages of a construction, Tecnisa’s care for quality has tamed many hearts. You don’t just buy a home to live, but a whole ideology made of bricks.

    • Fabulous for any weather and any age

      Mustela

      25 August 2009

Even though is positioned to moms and babies, Mustela's products are very suitable for 'non-mom ' grown-ups with sensitive skin, like me. The cold-cream soap and stick are just fabulous for any weather and any age.
