  Bergdorf Goodman, with exactly one store located at 5th Avenue and 59th Street in New York City, is a Landmark Lovemark. While Bergdorf's is owned by Neiman Marcus, it beats Neiman by miles in personal service, in-store experience and pure love. I am so happy that Neiman had the good sense to leave it be - singular and utterly unique. I can't imagine life without them. I dare any other store to top this story: I bought a YSL Muse Bag (if you don't know you don't know) in espresso brown. Very unfortunately, I got caught in the rain and - horrors! - the espresso bled on a white Celine skirt (ladies who shop are gasping as they read this, I'm sure). Of course Bergdorf 's customer service department immediately refunded the cost of the bag without question. But any high end store would do that. What blew my mind was that they took the white Celine skirt and attempted - 4 times - to clean the stain out to their high standards. Since they did not feel they could do so perfectly after 4 tries, they immediately wrote a check to me for the original purchase price of the skirt. The beauty part? The skirt was two seasons old. And I had not purchased it at Bergdorf's (an error I will never make again). Furthermore, they returned the not perfectly cleaned skirt to me and it was pretty darned clean. I wear it to this day. Top that, anyone. I double dog dare you.

  The food court market at Harrods is the best place to buy food in the universe. I visited it on my first trip to London. On my second trip, I insisted that we book an apartment instead of hotel, just so I could have the divine pleasure of shopping and cooking my treasures from Harrods. Good Choice, Charli.

  La Mer is expensive, but so what. I'll skip meals to pay for it if necessary. Or at least make my husband skip meals. Nothing compares to the sensual joy of opening a fresh jar and inhaling that elixir, knowing that my face is safe for another month.

  A true Lovemark, Meredith. I am a baking fool and would not EVER use anything but King Arthur Flour. The happy hours I have spent with their amazing products, be it my annual Christmas cookie bake-a-thon or just everyday break making. Lord I love that brand. And if you've never been to their HQ in Vermont, do go. Awesome.

  I think it is signiicant that the majority of Barack comments are from outside the United States. And therein, I hope, lies the true genius of the Obama Lovemark. We in the US will need a leader who is loved beyond reason outside our borders if we are to change our tune. After securing the Democratic nomination, Senator Obama made one of his first campaign stops in Germany. That won this Hillary supporter over, I can tell you! Let us all hope that Barack will be a true New World Maker. And thanks to all our international friends for your interest and support. We need you. Much love.

  Paola, you have picked a winner for sure. Best part of Sephora is that if I am on my way to an evening event from work and have not brought along my "nighttime" makeup, I can glam it up for free at Sephora and no one says a word. The whole thing is genius.
