    • It's Obama's message

      Barack Obama

      24 February 2008

The Obama political campaign will be the new template for all political parties around the world on how to leverage the Internet integrated with the traditional television, radio and "stump speeches" channels. These are just the channels. It's Obama's message that makes these channels resonate.

Argentina definitely deserves a Lovemark. From the great city of Buenos Aires to the Patagonia to the Iguacu Falls. Actually all 3 of these places would get Lovemarks. Gooooo Riverrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

    • Gets my Lovemark

      Otara Fleamarket

      26 February 2008

The grand daddy of fleamarkets in Auckland. Situated in the heart of South Auckland's Pacific population, this 'swapmeet'/farmers market is the perfect place to spend a Saturday morning shopping and seeing all the different colours, cultures and flavours of the region. They have some great food and fresh produce!!...and check out the smiles of the people. You will even see the country's PM there on occasion. Otara Fleamarket in Auckland, New Zealand, gets my Lovemark.

    • You have to love Tonga

      Tonga

      26 February 2008

You have to love Tonga. Untouched, raw, backwards, forwards, tropical, cultural, historical all in one. Unlike other countries in the South Pacific, Tonga is off the beaten path of many tourists and its a good thing. The people are very friendly, they laugh a lot, and are genuinely very, very hospitable. From the coral flatland of Tongatapu to the lush forests on 'Eua to the hidden postcard beaches of Ha'apai to the unique paradise of Vava'u to the seclusion of the Niua Islands. This is one country with everything bar snow. Travel there if you dare....ohhh and Tonga is one of the few places in the world where you can swim with the humpback whales. I guess that's another Lovemark.

    • You can't go wrong

      L&L Hawaiian BBQ

      27 May 2008

Well what can I say. L&L's is an institution in Hawaii and whenever I arrive in Hawaii, it's straight to L&L's. I order a mixed lunch plate (which in English means HUUUUGE!!) with BBQ chicken and beef soaked in its secret teriyaki source. Served with rice and sliced cabbage, and macaroni in mayonnaise with a drink on the side, you can't go wrong. If you know Hawaii, you know this place. If you are looking for it on the mainland USA, just ask any Pacific Islander, they know where L&L's is. If you're watching your caloric intake, forget about it here. L&L's is not for you...but it will remind you of your memorable trip to Hawaii if you throw out your strict eating regime for the day.
