    • The very best you can find

      Gessato

      14 February 2008

The Gessato collection is tailored (pun intended -"gessato" is the Italian word for “chalk-striped”) to address the two most pressing issues when it comes to men’s skin - the trauma caused by sun exposure, shaving and lack of sleep. Each product is carefully formulated by biochemists utilizing time-tested natural ingredients. Gessato products are not for everyone. They are not inexpensive, and their distribution is very limited in the United States. But they are the very best you can find, and it’s pretty hard to put a dollar value on health. If you’re interested in keeping your skin looking well, it’s a collection of products you might want to try.

    • The real thing!

      Tanqueray

      05 March 2008

Tanqueray is the real thing! Nothing more to say. It's really good.

    • Good work guys

      Movable Type

      05 March 2008

I wanted to use it for my personal blog but I had a problem installing it due to the obsolete type of hosting. I had to end up using WP which offers much much less. I'm thinking of changing my host just to be able to use Movable Type. Good work guys.

    • These skis are THE BEST

      Elan

      05 March 2008

M999 thumbs up!!! I decided to take my new pair of M999 with me while I was traveling to Europe. It is never pleasant to carry a pair of skis along while traveling and I regretted taking them until I stopped for 3 days in Chamonix. Oh dear God, I had 3 full days of pure adrenaline at the "grand monte". These skis are THE BEST. I was a Dynastar fan, NOT ANYMORE.

    • The preferred bespoke shoemaker

      Berluti

      09 March 2008

The preferred bespoke shoemaker for aristocrats, dapper entertainers, and well-heeled types who appreciate the quality (it takes an hour of rubbing with essential oils for a cobbler to produce the final color of each shoe).

    • Shocked by the sublime taste

      Lanvin

      14 March 2008

The oldest French couture house, founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin, is today a reference for the Parisian industry of luxury, from fashion to perfumes and accessories. I am really shocked by the sublime taste of their sailing shoes canvas-golden leather.

    • Distinctive individuality

      Brioni

      14 March 2008

While one often says that a man need not spend a lot to look like a million bucks, the truth is, it helps. Which is why a suit from Brioni costs an arm and a leg, their range begins from $2000 and may go way up, but there is surely nothing that represents the good life and distinctive individuality like a Brioni. Ask Bond, James Bond. Brioni has been dressing Brosnan in all the Bond flicks since 1994. From Savile Row in London, Bond has come all the way to Italy in the last decade to lend his suits a postmodern edge.

    • Timeless elegance

      Loro Piana

      14 March 2008

Timeless elegance created with select yarns and fabrics, refined details, meticulous search for quality, and the perfect combination of beauty and function. This is perhaps the best way of summarising the philosophy underlying the design and manufacture of the Loro Piana products, all of which have been developed for high-profile consumers who put uncompromising quality before the trends of the moment.

    • Luxury giant of the future

      Asprey

      14 March 2008

Founded in 1781, Asprey sells alligator handbags and other accessories, including diamond jewelry, watches, and leather and silver goods. The grand old house of the wealthy and the Royal for generations has been rebuilt and re-envisioned as the luxury giant of the future.

    • A piece of technology

      Arc'teryx

      22 April 2008

Wearing one of these jackets makes you fully understand the difference between a garment and a piece of technology. The feeling of being dry, warm and extremely comfortable has no price in certain circumstances.

    • The most beautiful leather shoes

      A. Testoni

      24 April 2008

Family-owned and headquartered in Bologna, Italy, A. Testoni makes some of the most beautiful leather shoes in the world today. A. Testoni began making mens shoes in 1929. Among the company’s many finely crafted shoe collections is the Amedeo Testoni line which features soles hot-stamped with feather images indicative of their light weight. Comfortable, flexible and crafted through Norwegian, Tyrolese and Rapid construction techniques, these Norvegese shoes offer workmanship of the type typically found on hiking boots, with natural seams and showy hand-woven twine.

    • I still taste Lavazza

      Lavazza

      25 April 2008

I have these memories of my childhood in Milano of the house filled with coffee aroma. If I close my eyes morning to me still taste Lavazza.

    • Blue-blooded Brit

      Aston Martin

      30 April 2008

At first glance, it’s hard to classify the DB9 as a blue-blooded Brit. The CEO of the company is a manic German engineer, whose involvement was a key factor in establishing the performance leap of the new coupe over the previous DB7. The car’s lines were penned by another German, BMW design works Chief Henrik Fisker, after the initial designer, Ian Callum, was transferred to Jaguar. The heart of the DB9, the 5.9L V12, is produced in Cologne, Germany, along with the six-speed auto transmission, which comes from gearbox specialist ZF. Even the car’s electronic and safety features were developed in conjunction with the Swedes over at Volvo. At least its styling is in keeping with Aston Martin’s of old, an evolution of the DB7, which itself was reminiscent of the DB models from the 60’s and 70’s. It's a dream to get handed the keys to one of the hottest cars on the planet, a tank full of gas and the chance to play James Bond for a couple of days.

    • My grandpa's hat

      Borsalino

      02 May 2008

I was walking on the streets of New York, to be specific I was in the subway station of 59th St and Lexington Ave. This station is always very "windy" and there are usually hats or caps fallen on the rails. I like to watch them every time i am at this station, I love to imagine the stories behind each one of them. This last time, a nice "light tan" fur felt fedora was there. When I looked carefully at the lining inside I saw the same logo, color and texture of the one I used to play when I was little. It was my grandpa's hat.

    • More powerful than any F1 car

      Bugatti

      02 May 2008

More powerful than any F1 car. When you push a car past 180mph, the world starts to get awfully fizzy and a little bit frightening. When you go past 200mph it actually becomes blurred. Almost like you’re trapped in an early Queen pop video. This car cannot be judged in the same way that we judge other cars. It meets drive-by noise and emission regulations and it can be driven by someone whose only qualification is an ability to reverse round corners and do an emergency stop. So technically it is a car. And yet it just isn’t.

    • La sua immaginazione

      Italo Calvino

      08 May 2008

    • The ultimate street motorcycle experience

      Confederate Motor Company

      24 March 2009

I consider Confederate the ultimate street motorcycle experience. I believe Confederate has found an extremely fascinating balance between moderated-romantic sense of style (with a respectful eye to the history of motorbike engineering), and the raw madness of the naked, futuristic, hi-tech.

    • One to keep and one to ride

      Freeman Transport

      24 March 2009

A bespoke item in a rectangular duffel bag made of waxed canvas and leather. You don't have to be a bike messenger or a track bike racer to appreciate the technology and the refined design behind these bikes. I would love to have one to keep in the house and one to ride everyday!!!

    • Their items are supercool!

      Gessato

      02 August 2009

I love this [GSelect] store. It's a place where I feel comfortable browsing and their items are supercool! Another score for the guys at Gessato, congratulation and thank you.

    • Made out of leather and love

      Isaac Reina

      02 August 2009

This is a French company that makes high quality leather goods. They specialize in men's wallets and card holders. I feel like people should know about their products. I am sure they are made out of leather and love, there is no other explanation.
