This little seaside resort 175 km from Rio de Janeiro, was put on the map by Brigitte Bardot back in the sixties. I lived there for 5 years and even if it has changed a lot the essence of the town ramains the same. Just book a room in a beach-front pousada (inn), enjoy the sun, the different beaches, drink lots of caipirinha (cachaca + lemon + sugar + ice) have some fresh fish for dinner and fall asleep to the sound of the sea every night. The eternal summer is there.
