  If Egypt is the "Gift of the Nile", Cairo is definitely its essence. No other city can bring about the awe and nostalgia like this bustling megapolis does. Visitors and former residents always seem to remember that unique, intangible history spiced smell that permeates through its streets even decades after they have left. Whether it is the fields of orange lights that openly greet you as your flight starts its descent into the city, the friendly nature of the lovely people who live there, the awe inspiring sight of the great pyramids that watch over it, the unreplicable felucca rides on the Nile, or even the insanse chaos that ensues on its roads; one thing is for sure. However much you may just HATE it when you get there, you will find yourself LOVING it for the rest of your life, wherever your travels may take you.
