    • Great design is when it makes people smile

      Mini

I drive a 1966 Morris Mini deluxe - she’s almost a decade older than me and still going strong. It sounds like a cliché, but they don’t make ‘em like they used to. I had one of my volunteers in the car the other day and, after noticing the way people react to the sight of it, she said, ‘great design is when it makes people smile’. It’s true. My Mini can carry over 400 mags, a 4-piece drum kit, and a fridge. Ok, maybe not all at once, but almost.

My diary, conjurer and capturer of inspiration. I love Moleskine’s history (writing in the steps of the greats), their covers (that wear so well), their black elastic tie (so all my cr@p doesn’t fall out) and the pocket at the back (again, so great for aforementioned cr@p).

    • I love saying I’m a New Zealander

      New Zealand

      07 February 2007

Although I’ve lived in Australia for ten years and it’s given me incredible opportunities, experiences and friends, New Zealand will always be my home. I love saying I’m a New Zealander. I love what my country stands for and the respect that such a little place has globally. I love that we’re go-getters and innovative, that we’re friendly, that we’re principled and stick to our values… I won’t, but I could go on, and on…

    • My 3rd pair in a row

      Bensimon sneakers

I’m onto my 3rd pair in a row and while they’re probably terrible for my feet, I love their ‘tennisy’ feel (doubles anyone?) and wear them every day (almost). But the best thing, I can just chuck them in the washing machine and they come out as good as new – got to love that.
