  • A spectacular museum

Just a spectacular museum. Wonderful Egyptian wing, great Impressionist collection, amazing American collection. A warning though. This is a HUGE museum, so I would recommend trying to only see a couple of sections in a day or having a lunch break. The Met may well be the best art museum in the US. It is the best in NYC.

  • Culture, fantasy and romance

There can be no greater Lovemark for me than the "MET" - it's where my husband took me on our first official date four years ago. Surrounded by priceless works of art, I impressed him with random facts I culled from my college days. We returned many Saturdays after that, rain or shine, followed by romantic picnics in Central Park. Two years later, my husband proposed to me, in front of the Temple of Dendur in the Egyptian wing. To me, the MET represents the culture, fantasy and romance that makes New York magical.
