  • Monet's Gare Saint-Lazare in the mist at 6am

Romantic? Architectural? Historical? Fashionable? Finest? Many words to qualify Paris, none of them expresses the reasons for my emotional link to this city. I love Paris because it’s grey - then it rains and the drains leave marks on the painted walls. I love Paris because of its hidden places, because it’s genuine. You can find rats and visit the catacombs. The unbearable noise of the Metro makes you drowsy after work. Because there is something secret about taking a cab, being lost in the crowded Place de l’Opera, a losing-meeting point. I love the railway stations with the chimneys. Paris is, before all, a realistic chunk of cloud. It makes you nostalgic. It’s pure poetry. It is Monet’s Gare Saint-Lazare in the mist at 6am.

  • Why oh why do I love Paris?

Paris changes you. If you haven’t been you will not understand, but if you have you already know. Achingly beautiful, frustratingly metropolitan, and endlessly fascinating. I visted for ten days (cat sitting for friends!), but I never truly left. My heart literally aches when I see a Parisian scene on the tv or in a film. Why oh why do I love Paris? It is impossible to explain.

  • I realized how much I would miss Paris

When I learned that I had to join my husband for a new job assignment in another country I cried for 2 months - because I realized how much I would miss Paris every day, every minute. This place is the embodiment of beauty and love, art and culture, inspiration and innovation, everything a human being needs to live a full and interesting life. A definite lovemark.

  • What was life before Paris?

Paris...on my mind all the time, it is the love of my life and deserves all Lovemarks that exists! Wandering around without a goal, every cartier in this city has its special spots, beautiful buildings, and amazing people. You'll find all cultures, all groups, and never feel left out. What was life before Paris?

  • The value of Paris

Paris represents everything a Lovemark is. A great emblem: the Eiffel tower. A sense of shared ownership: all Parisians know the value of Paris. A shameless sense of being the best in style, romance, settings. After all, we'll always have Paris.

  • More Paris please

Visiting Paris was one of the most romantic experiences of my life. Gorgeous architecture, fantastic food, great art, and you can still smoke there! Ha. The only real negative about Paris now is that the Euro is so pricey that we can't afford to go as often as we'd like.

  • It is a warehouse of Lovemarks

Luxury, love, sexyness, romanticism, beauty, good food and wine, perfume, make-up, fashion, cars, design, architecture... The list of words evoking Paris is endless! I will never forget the first time I visited this wonderful city. It is a Lovemark in itself. It is a warehouse of Lovemarks.
