  • Makes you smile

In Lovemarks, Kevin Roberts writes about the Kodak Moment, and how Fuji Film is at the Low Respect, Low Love side of his Lovemarks axis, mainly focusing on the price competition. From I was 15 until I was 19 I worked as a photo lab assistant, and other films I have developed are nothing when it comes to quality compared to Fuji! With its unique, strong colours, it is a true Lovemark to me and my lab rat friends. Try sending in one Fuji film and one Kodak film and see the difference. I always ask the lab if they have a Fuji developing machine, because its colour treatment and the quality of the paper can fix even a bad film. Ask for 'RP tone' for the photos in the Fuji lab, this makes the colours even stronger, and makes you smile, cause the photos look fab and professional.

  • I will always need it

The Fuji versus Kodak battle in the 80s was a classic. They alternated, Olympics for Olympics, and they still duel it out for naming rights at every major sporting event even though digital images are the norm. The worldwide race for a digital edge involves massive transitions for film manufacturers and camera-makers. But there will always be a market. I have my grandfather's Zeiss-Icon, and will always need 35mm film, I use Fuji film.
