La Pelu is a mini chain of barber shops in Barcelona, Spain. Indeed a very fashionable one, for both men and women. All of them located in bohemian neighborhoods. In Spanish, barber shop = "peluquería". When you go for a hair-cut the slang is going to "la pelu". Simple, fun, owns the category... gives place to teasing people when they demand which one you are going to: "To La Pelu"!
