  • Lucky Americans

The thing about Lucky Charms is once you've tasted them you can't get the yummy, sugary taste out of your mouth. Unfortunatly they cost around £10 (around $17 dollars I think) where I've seen them. So I guess it's one thing to go without. Lucky Americans.

  • For the story

I do love this product....more for the personal story. One question about the image of the Lucky Charms box...Why are there "real" mushrooms on the box?

  • Now everytime I see a box...

My parents divorced when I was very young. My mother was left to raise 5 children alone on minimum wage and welfare. We were quite poor and to make matters worse, my mother was a 'health nut'. We rarely got candy, chips, soda, etc... The only cereal we were ever got to eat was Cheerios or Corn Flakes. But every year on my birthday I was allowed to go to the store and pick out one 'sweetened' cereal of my choice. How special that made me feel and how exciting that was ! When it was my turn I would always get Lucky Charms. Now everytime I see a box of Lucky charms, I am reminded of that special tradition that ment so much to a family that had to go without.
