  • Believe and you shall receive

Yes, she maybe flaunts a bit too much, but every now and then she never forgets her roots. Rags to Riches. Yes, consumerism and spiritualism can co-exist. Maybe I should not put it that way and should put it this way...God wants us to be successful, have abundant lives, be happy. There's nothing sinful of becoming rich, unless you have done it against the Book of Law. She showed it. Believe and you shall receive.

  • Oprah, thank you for being YOU!

Oprah, thank you for being YOU! An inspiration, a woman and a woman of colour who started life with a lot to deal with, and look at you now, you truly live the Secret in the way you have created your life: your drive, believe and knowing that you would have the life you dreamed of. I don’t think you realise how much you inspire all of us! Thank you so much!

  • I might inspire someone the way she has inspired me

Oprah inspires me to go after my dreams and to have an impact on other people’s lives. When I watch her, I think that someday I might inspire someone the way she has inspired me. I love her show, her magazine, her website...everything Oprah! She’s had some criticism over her school in Africa, but I think what she has done for those girls in phenomenal!

  • Strength and Integrity

I love Oprah because she represents strength and integrity. If anyone remembers her from the '80s, then you too can see her maturation over the years. She epitomizes wisdom, womanhood, maturity, grace and class. She stands up for what she believes in and will take YOU down before she sacrifices her principles. She is what women should be when they "grow up".

  • Becoming an inspiration for many women

I love Oprah from outside the US but think she's doing a good job. She has become an inspiration for many women who suffered or thought their life had to be miserable...just because they're women. It is a sad and an old way of thinking since every day we realize that we can all achieve what we want as long as we become aware and co-create. I am glad the word is spreading and people start opening their eyes!

  • The best you can be!

Oprah is such a wonderful role model for people all over the world today! She struggled through adversity just like we all do and came out the other side beaming. So many times people use their life as their crutch and not to their advantange. She is a great example of how you can turn your disadvantages into positive advantages & strive to be the best you can be!

  • Standing on clouds

I'll add my comments on behalf of my wife. Oprah has developed her talk show into the most powerful entertainment venue I can recall. The mere mention of an item on Oprah can be the single largest success factor for that brand. However, I prefer to think back when Oprah was facing numerous talk shows and the moral decay they presented. Oprah Winfrey decided not to play in the dirt and has been standing on clouds ever since.

  • Go Oprah!

Go Oprah! A woman who came from nothing and through hard work and incredible drive look at all she has accomplished. Not only for herself, but she has helped so many people. I think she's a very giving person, an angel in disguise.

  • Not scary

Oprah can be considered "scary", with her ideals being impressed on so many people - but the majority of this impression is vastly good, rather than bad. True, she likes her things (and loves to tell people about them), but there is nothing wrong with being successful and enjoying it. She is quite candid about her comfort with the success she has earned - and certainly, behind the scenes, gives more than her share of non-materialistic assistance to those who need it. Even the celebrities she interviews, comment on their admiration and respect for her and all she represents. I just like to know that for the people that have “nothing better to do” than watch her show and do what she says, are getting the message that they can, and should, help make a difference. I’ll always respect a good influence over none.

  • Scary question

Oprah is scary. Perhaps it is inevitable that anyone who exerts that much influence would come to conclude that she/he is divine, but it is still distasteful to me to watch her talk about herself that way. Her magazine is full of glossy photos of things. Can spirituality and consumerism co-exist?
