Deserve more recognition

This is a great nomination. Artists such as this deserve more recognition then the vast majority of the top hitters on this site. We look forward to your next work Peter, but even if the JRRT series is the last thing you do, it was a great addition to the movie world.

Fantastic collection

One of the most amazing things that Peter has done is to build up a fantastic collection of World War One Aircraft. Most are beautiful replicas, but they are all Flying and it has given us the opportunity in New Zealand to see some amazing displays of aircraft which are world class.

Just as beautiful

Everyone's favorite hobbit-lookalike is also everyone's favorite director, and for good reason. PJ is brilliant. Only he could take JRRT's beautiful works of literature and turn them into works of film just as beautiful. We salute you, Peter!

Such is my respect for the man

Hairy, overweight, and no dress sense whatsoever. But without doubt, none whatsoever, at present, New Zealanders' favourite son. We respect him because he has achieved so much, and yet remained so down to earth. I can't stand Lord of the Rings, but felt almost obligated to go and see all three movies, such is my respect for the man. Everyone talks of Peter as if they know him intimately. He's a great mate that's done pretty well!
