Nothing from the movies though
I have a picture from when I was like 3 years old of me sitting on Spider-Man's shoulders. It was at the mall, when they had different characters that you could pay to have your picture taken with. My mom paid for me to have my picture taken with Raggedy Ann, and for both of my brothers to have a picture with Spider-Man. They were scared of Spider-Man, so I got both of those pictures as well. I have all sorts of Spider-Man merchandise all over my apartment. Nothing from the movies though. I hate how they changed the story.

Spiderman purist
You gotta love Spiderman. I've loved Spidey since I was a little kid. Had the comics around, never watched the cartoons...hey, I'm a purist! The movies are sweet, Toby Maguire brings something very special to the role. Thank God Ben Affleck wasn't the knee jerk choice for every role in Hollywood!

The geeky guy
Spider-man is everyone's famous super hero. Not the brooding millionaire, or the alien, but the geeky guy who was in the wrong place (or the right place, depending on how you look at it) at the wrong time. Everyone can relate to Peter, and he's very easy to love. And I do love him!

Now I am a true fan
Spider-Man, Spider-Man does whatever a spider can....and a whole lot more! I was always a Superman fan, but when the movie came out I got persuaded to go see it. I loved it! I started reading up on the backstory and about the creator, and now I am a true fan.

An enigmatic web-slinger that I've held a special place for since my childhood. He has always been my favorite super hero. He makes the seemingly impossible seem possible. An everyday man just like me that was subject to extroardinary change only to overcome the odds and then use his strength to help everyday poeple.
