You're transformed!
As a little girl growing up in the Caribbean, I used to dream of owning sophisticated items so I could be a sophisticated business-woman one day. Chanel No. 5 was the first perfume I ever bought for myself with my very first salary. I have never been without it as I purchase a replacement bottle before its predecessor is finished. One spray, one whiff and you're transformed!

Can't live without it
I recently took a flight to Malta and as I hadn't flown in a little while, I had completely forgotten all the rules on carrying liquids within carry on luggage. So deciding quite what my small transparent plastic bag would contain was quite simple - my bottle of Chanel Allure - and once I had it in my hand ready for its inspection that lovely bottle had levelled its importance alongside my passport and overtaken others by many miles. Can't live without it and I really have tried. I've taken my time to nominate it again because I cannot without sincerity. Chanel I owe you more than you will ever know.

Classy and fabulous
Chanel, the word just gives an aura of simplicity and sophistication. Like Coco always said "A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous."

Dreams of me and my mother return
This is such a classic fragrance. My mother used to wear this and I remember smelling it on her skin and on her pillow when I curled up on my parents’ bed. Whenever I catch a scent of Chanel No.5, dreams of me and my mother return and I feel her with me once again.

Classy and fabulous
I love Chanel and I agree with Coco Chanel when she said, "A girl should always be two things - classy and fabulous." Wearing this brand always makes me feel these two things, and I know it's true!

A long friendship
No brand but Chanel can make me feel so classy and elegant. I bought my very first Chanel bag at Saks 5th Ave. in New York City. The classic quilted pattern has been around for years and I smiled knowing that this handbag and I were beginning a long friendship. I never have to worry about Chanel going out of style. It represents to me female ambition. Unlike the italian design houses all dominated by men, Chanel is a triumphant story of one girls fight for femininity over feminism. I'm glad to be apart of that, no matter what the cost.

It makes me feel so good and people notice
Chanel No 5 is the best fragrance in the world. I wear it and both men and women comment on how great I smell and are surprised that my chemistry makes it smell different than on them. They always say it never smells that good on them. But I am a male so my chemistry is definitely different than a woman. But it makes me feel so good and people notice.

Shrewd, chic and on the cutting edge
One of the most important people of the century - Coco Chanel. She was shrewd, chic and on the cutting edge. The clothes she created changed the way women looked and how they looked at themselves.

I had wondered...
I love Chanel No. 5, and had wondered whether or not the deep, rich scent was too old-fashioned. Then one of my fourth grade students said I smelled better than anybody else in the world. Case closed!

Romance, glamour and hope in a bottle
This was my first perfume - my mum gave me one of those small sample bottles when I was eight. Everytime I smell it, it reminds me of how naughty and grown-up I felt the first time I carefully I took of the lid and dabbed on the scent, with my eyes closed, thinking that someone was going to fall in love with me the moment they smelt me. Romance, glamour and hope in a bottle.
