Like having a nice cup of tea...
I watch Coronation Street every night it is on. I'm addicted! It is more realistic than glamorous American soap operas. The story lines are believable, and it is kind and compassionate in an otherwise hard world. It is like having a nice cup of tea!

Ena Sharples, although sometimes very snobby and horribly mean, is basically the picture of what it meant to be a moral woman in a very different time. While she is out of date today, the life lessons she lived and taught are always perennial. She's an icon not only to British television but to English-speaking humanity everywhere.
