I sense no soul
No. I find it very hard to believe that this could be thought of as a lovemark. I actually have a subscription, only becuase it cost me $5.00 for 4 years. It is almost as bad as pottery barn. I sense no soul when browsing the pages. There is no life there. Just becuase a home is expensive doesn't mean it has any real character. I guess I just respond to environments in an emotional way. The pages of AD might as well be empty.

Great for some things
I just can't agree that AD is worthy of a Lovemark. While it's great for looking at high-priced real estate ads, it's not inspirational nor particularly inventive regarding design and architecture. It seems to focus more often on the celebrity (or wealth) of the house owners rather than trying to give the reader a better understanding of the world of design or architecture. There are great magazines (like Metropolis) that I think better deserve my love.

It's a love that deals with who I am
After two months I'm still paging through my special edition of Architectural Digest. I appraise real estate and this magazine not only enhances and enrichs my taste for good architecture and design, but it has helped me to appreciate the time and effort homeowners put into achieving their goals and acquiring their life long passionate dreams. My love for Architectural Digest goes beyound its elegant pictures, clean lines and visceral article pieces, (it even goes beyond every compliment I receive just for having it in my hand), it's a love that deals with who I am as a person and what inspires my enthusiasm for life. The good people at A/D strive to express through their work that an elevated quality of life is attainable and can be beautiful. For this vision it's found a place in my office, my home and my heart.
