  • Always my first option

Everytime I think about going somewhere Vespa is always my first option, and most of the times the only one. Never a bike was so copied like a Vespa. It keeps the original charm a long time.

  • Reminds me the freedom to roam

Vespa motorcycle reminds me the freedom to roam around wherever I wish. Recalls the Italian countryside and their historical cities. It is a way to travel that inspire freedom and simplicity. It's easy to mange, low noise.

  • The destination is secondary

Enrico Piaggio set out to provide alternative transport in post-war Italy, and families unable to afford bigger vehicles embraced the Vespa in great numbers. Husbands, wives and children started piling on together. Piaggio saw an opportunity, and tweaked his advertising to highlight the carefree, romantic experience for couples. The destination was unimportant - Vespas were for lovers, a joy to be shared. Bulls-eye! Women appreciated their convenience, so every young Italian wanted one. Sure, the early models were mechanically temperamental... but the appeal of riding between his girl's thighs was the clincher. Vespas became as much a part of the social scene as coffee, music and vino. The same remains true today, for me and every other devotee. The destination is still secondary to the experience, shared or otherwise.

  • More than a means of transportation

The Lovemachine! A beautiful product with a fantastic heritage and legacy. Vietnam is motorbike capital of the world, but is currently overrun with Japanese bikes that have little style or character to them. In contrast, Vespa & Piaggio owners really "love" their scooters. The Italian website of Vespa claims that the legendary scooter is much more than a means of transportation. It is a myth ("un mito"), a way of being, of thinking and of expressing a joy of living. It's a brand that makes people's hearts beat all over the world.
