Scared to death
I love this film. I was forbidden to see it when it was in the theatres back in the 70s. Actually now I can thank my parents for being smart enough to know that I'd never sleep again if I saw it at age 9! Maybe not being allowed to see it is part of why I am obsessed with it now. I think Roy Schneider's performance is amazing and that the ship captain's story about his WWII experience is one of the all time great moments in film. I love that it scares me to death. I can barely make myself go snorkeling because I keep hearing the Jaws theme in my mind! This film is near and dear to my heart because it's a great story with great performances.

Taking a swim has never been the same
Lovemarks are about emotional connections and Jaws the movie can be credited with that. Twenty years on from seeing the movie for the first time I can not let go. Taking a swim in the ocean has never been the same. I can no longer venture too deep, and spend almost all of my time searching the surrounding sea for the anticipated fin to come slicing through the water in search of me. Jaws the Lovemark has certainly left its mark!
