An Angel only lent
An Angel only lent...pure love as she was as imperfect as the rest of us and all she wanted, like the rest of us, was to be loved. No-one really knew Diana but we loved what she represented in showing her vulnerability to love (aren’t we all?) and what she inspired us to believe in. "Princess Diana" the name and the face, is a Lovemark.

Wasted when we so needed her
What I cannot understand about Princess Diana is why she never used a helicopter if the paparazzi were hounding her like that? Were those caring, 'thinking' people around her or just there for the paycheck? John Kennedy had as his wife Jackie and the same hysteria occurred everywhere they went. Did you see John Kennedy's feathers ruffled ever?? Prince Charles should have been pulled aside and given this example. He should have been proud of Diana because he chose her and the hysteria was a tribute to him. To become king is a calling. The high unction in the coronation ceremony cannot be bestowed on an adulterer or divorced man.Diana is my lovemark because she had inklings about what was right and wrong and she understood monarchy better than all the royals put together. Diana is a lovemark for purity, good intention and kindness. A lot of woman wasted when we so needed her in the world.

Still special
I learned of her death late at night in Alaska. I watched for days. She is still special in my eyes. She was a Queen of Hearts for the people all over the world. As a mother of a son injured by a drunk driver, I could feel the hurt of her boys. I saw on the casket the bouquet with "Mummy". She has always been a symbol to me of being a real mother to her boys, the openess of loving them. She was the most beautiful woman. I married an older man, 26 yrs and had 4 boys. I raised his 3 sons and then my boys in Alaska. We went to the University of Alaska and signed a book with our condolences and left small articles of our love for her. I left a heart that said "Mother".

A reminder to live in the moment
Where were you when Princess Diana died? How did you find out? How did you feel? I was at my boyfriend's parents place, his brother came into the room and said 'Princess Diana is dead'. I thought it was a mistake... I was in disbelief and in the ensuing hours felt overwhelmingly sad. Was a royalist? No. But because Princess Diana epitomised a Lovemark, she made an emotional connection to everyone. For the rest of my life Princess Diana will be a reminder to live in the moment and to always seek out love even when you become disillusioned.
