Not a ditsy blonde
Marilyn Monroe was so much more than a sex symbol. Her public persona of a ditsy blonde was far from her own personal reality. Haunted by feelings of being unloved and unwanted since childhood, she struggled with trying to make the love of the public fill that hole in her heart. She loved her craft and wanted to be the best actress she could be. Her story is beautiful and tragic, not much different from so many of us. Her light extinguished far too early.
