  • The first time I tried Speights it was awesome

    Speights is the best, even in Auckland, I've even made my mates switch from Export to Speights. It just tastes better. I'm originally from Fiji and lived in NZ since I was 7. I'm 23 now. The first time I tried Speights it was awesome. As boys we don't drink a can or a bottle each, we TAKI, this refers to a drinking game where there is only one glass between a bunch of people, and we take skullable shots non-stop until the box is finished. By the end of one box, every one feels the buzz of Speights.

  • Our sparkling ale

    I will never forget my first night as an Otago University student in Dunedin, New Zealand, on my quest to become what is known as a scarfie. I went into a pub with my friends and ordered a "jug-a-Speights". We all raised our sparkling ale above our heads and made a toast to beer. The Speights brand is such a part of the student lifestyle. You see it everywhere from bottles littered in the front yards of flats to the backs of t-shirts in lecture theatres. Dunedin wouldn't be the same without "The Pride of the South".
