  • I dream of Vogels

I knew someone who swore he would thinly slice his Vogels bread, butter it, and lay it all over his body, before eating it. It was the best way to express his passion for Vogel's bread that he could think of. I wouldn't waste a morsel of it in such a fashion. I dream of Vogels with scrambled eggs or Open Face sandwiches on Vogels. Does anyone know where it can be bought in Canada, or the western USA?

  • Absolutely love it and have gotten friends to try

Oh wow, I found the Soy and Flax Vogel's bread for the first time when I moved to Southern California a few years ago. I absolutely love it and have gotten friends to try it and they all love it, too. I find it at Stater Bros and Ralph's and its ALWAYs on the top shelf at both stores. There usually isn't a whole lot of it, tho and sometimes they are out. I was pleasantly surprised to find this website!

  • A Slice of Heaven

Heaven! I have just enjoyed the first of four loaves of Vogel's bread (not all in one go!) brought back from NZ for me by a Kiwi friend. He has a home in Lake Wanaka and frequently visits the homeland. I had asked if he could try to smuggle some back in for me, so he managed to pack not one but four loaves into air tight containers in his suitcase! I was in raptures! I am now off to Waitrose, a 20 mile trek to see if they have it there!

  • We love them both for toast and sandwiches

My wife an I found Vogel's Soy & Flax on the shelf at Von's in Moorpark, California. But they have not had it lately. They are shelving the Multigrain. We love them both for toast and sandwiches. It is good, hearty bread. Attention: TRUE (Trans planted Kiwi) in Seattle, Safeway is the Parent company of VON's. Ask the bakery department to special order it.

  • The passion is legendary

Having the priviledge of being the delivery contractor contracted to Goodman Fielder - Quality Bakers - NZ the amount of passion surrounding this bread to me is quite legendary. Mouths drop at the mention of this bread with memories flushing in of the times you paid the price for this beautifully baked loaf. Actual times can be recalled quite instantly of sharing this loaf with family, close friends, partners in waiting, best friends. To all out there this has to be one of the most passionate of the lovemarks we have in NZ.

  • A Vogel's deprived Kiwi

I am a Vogel's deprived Kiwi living on the west coast of the USA - Seattle 0 currently. Does anyone know where/how to get Vogels in this country? I can do without my other Kiwi favorite foods but not Vogels!

  • Enjoy!

Don't dispair, I was the same when I got to UK. You can actually purchase Vogel's at some Sainsbury's as well. They've only got the one type here, soya and linseed.

  • Horrified

Having lived in NZ for ten years, I was horrified to discover that Vogels bread was not available in the UK! I look in every supermarket I go to, to no avail! I was actually searching on the Internet to see if there was a supplier here, when I found this site. Please help!

  • As fresh as when I bought it

Discovered Vogel quite by chance in Waitrose, England. Kept it in my rucksack for up to a week and it was still as fresh as when I bought it, a real travelling companion and friend. So I must find a Waitrose in some nearby city - any other stockists in the UK?
