Ugly and burly is cool
It is a very cool watch indeed...It's so ugly and burly that it is becoming cool. Besides that, it is a high-quality watch with a 'story' attached to it. Unique!

Strangers see me as...
Big, ponderous, some even say ugly. I say classic. The Aqualand is a watch with a depth of character and a depth measurement tool. Extremely popular with Dutch marines, it has also gained popularity with a small group of regular everyday people, who like me, understood that the Aqualand was a classical, and even more important, an authentic watch. From time to time strangers see me as an ex-mariner (which I am not) because they see the clock on my wrist. If I tell them I haven't been a Marine and received the watch as a gift from my Nephew they sometimes get a little angry. Hey lighten up ! It's just a watch... or is it ?
