Ilicits passion
Politicians have tried to change it and continue to try in vein. A strong sign which represents both the past and the future and elicits as much passion as any other Lovemark when experienced in its immediate form. Hopefully it is dynamic enough to adapt to all the challenges that inevitably present themselves to a Team and symbol that is so successsful at the expense of others. So far that has been the case and the challenges have been many and constant. Look out for a spurt in its growth and recognition as the Clint Eastwood directed movie Invictus with Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon hits the movie screens in film in December 2009.

In all that is South African
It stirs a feeling of national pride in all that is South African. It makes we want to stand up and be counted. It makes me want to hold on to the person next to me, look into their eyes and together walk forward and make a difference.

Recognized all over the world
When South Africa won the 1995 Rugby World Cup I was proud to be South African not because we won the cup but rather because we proved that given the chance we can and will be the best. The logo for the team is a very simplistic but pleasing sign. It is recognized all over the world and should be around for years to come. I am proud to wear my Springbok jersey in all countries including Canada where it spreads fear into the Canadian rugby fans.
