Slash (aka Saul Hudson) is an English musician who is best-known as the former lead guitarist of the hard rock band Guns N'Roses.

Influential and talented
Listening to Guns n' Roses albums from the late 80's and early 90's brings back fond memories of my teenage years - especially Slash's amazing guitar riffs and solos which while hardcore rock always have a very melodic and emotionally charged dimension. I am not sure Slash always get the credit he deserves for being one of the most influential and talented guitarists of the last 25 years, if not the most. He also brought the Gibson Les Paul back into spotlight when it was pretty much ignored and is one of those players who made that guitar iconic, alongside Jimmy Page. And for that you gotta love him. Down the line, he is a badass rocker and with his tumultuous drug and alcohol infused past behind him, he really comes through as a very decent guy (just folow his tweets and read his autobigraphy).
