Bests the competition
This is a wine from a well known producer in the Niagara Peninsula. It has a cult following in Canada and that is moving further afield. People who like this specific wine LIKE IT A LOT! They are a community of people who are contrarian. They are proud of liking the wine made from an unusual grape variety that is often used as a ringer in blind tastings against wines from famous places and wine regions -- and then surprising everyone when the Baco Noir from Henry of Pelham bests the competition. Many Canadians abroad would consider this their regional wine, like Zinfandel for Calfornia, Malbec for Argentina, Shiraz for Australia. But not just any Baco Noir -- this one specifically.
