Still mesmerizing
I remember seeing her on TV in the 80's dressed as a man -- very bold and mesmerizing with her incredible singing ability. Then I saw her recently - still incredible, ageless, and mesmerizing.

Like a fine wine
Annie is the ultimate Diva. This girl can sing. Forget about the other so-called Divas that VH1 promotes, most will never have the staying power of Annie Lennox. Like a fine wine, her voice gets better with age. Annie Lennox is in a class by herself. There are not many singers past or present who can sing with the depth or range that Annie has.

What can I say
What can I say about Annie Lennox that doesn't betray words themselves? She is profound, unique, real, complex, intimate, courageous, unafraid to be herself, humane in an inhumane world, no-nonsense, with an unquestioned artistic integrity, a voice as beautiful as silk and velvet, and much more than what could be said. Her words and music have accompanied me throughtout my life and have made me feel less alone, and has pushed me to think and feel about my place in the world. Maybe, what's important to me is that I've gotten to know myself better through her visual and musical work.
