  • Stronger than love itself...

"Superman sure did love that Lois Lane they say, And love as strong as steel should last forever. But it seems to me that love got in the way. This love should be glorified whenever, Like a bullet moving the speed of light, The hero of my tale comes into view. With all his strength and all his might, Their inability to love was shown anew. Lois Lane, the brilliant journalist, Could not deny her feelings, Her love that roared on like a tempest, For a man who flew above the ceilings. In the end the strongest love Soared high into blue skies above." Dedicated to Christopher Reeve: The Ultimate Superman The Superman franchise shows the world a great love and a great man--a man who knew that saving the world came with self-sacrifice. Superman is the greatest hero of all time.

  • Pitting superheroes

Superman is only the secular 20th century sublimation of the true superhero, Jesus Christ. Superman's popularity coincides with mankind's arrogance at discovering technology. He has a Christ-like attitude: helps the needy, takes no reward. Why did he need to be invented? We already had a Perfectly Good One.

  • Superman is the man

Superman is the symbol of all good. His arch nemesis, Lex Luthor, once found out that Clark Kent was Superman and didn't believe it because "he would always be showing off his powers." Superman is good, kind, generous, and only uses his powers when they are needed.Otherwise he is a normal man who's more proud to publish a book than to move a mountain. Superman IS the man!

  • Triumphs over evil!

This is American. Bring me your poor, your tired masses...AND YOUR ALIENS!!!! No, not just the immigrants. I mean, sci-fi, gut-renching, finger-glowing, deep-voiced, scary mask wearing, scary face having, pop out your stomach, slimey extra-terrestrials!!!!! But don't come here unless you plan on behaving. Because if you step out of line, we have something for you, and it ain't no dudes with black suits!!!! It's a guy in a red and blue suit!!!!! The first and last line of defense!!!!! And he's an alien too!!!! Our alien...SUPERMAN!!!!!

  • A symbol of hope!

Superman/Kal-El/ Clark is a wonderful character. He´s the first (and still the best!) of all super-heroes. In my opinion, KAL also is a symbol of hope! ...even as an adult , I´m enjoying his newest adventures each week in DCs comicbooks! I´m reading and collecting his books for 30+ years now (even as far away as in Berlin / Germany :) I really love the first two motion pictures, starring the great Chris Reeve; and this "Smallville"-show is lots of fun (Tom Welling should be the "next" movie-Superman!!!). ...in the 70´s, there was a song very popular (at least here in Germany) called: "We all love you, Superman..." I think, this is still true.

  • The world's greatest Hero

He is the world's greatest Hero. Superman epitomizes the word Superhero. He would die to protect those he cares about, no matter who they are or where they are from. Perhaps we can all learn something from his humility. I dream of having the powers Superman has. Imagine what we could do. The things we could prevent. He may be a fictional character, but I cannot imagine my world without him in it. Superman, I wish I was even half the hero you are.

  • First and best Superhero!

Superman is point blank the greatest fictional hero ever to be created! He does the things we all want to do if we could, if we had the wherewithall and the will, the power and the strength. He stands for what is right and always helps others before himself. Superman fights with everything he is for the protection of life and freedom and will always be the first and best Superhero!

  • How would it feel to fly?

I've always wanted to save people. From disasters, terrorism, all the dangers in the world, but I can't! I used to hate the fact that I'm only human, being able to jump as far as I go and lift only what I can hold. Then I think about Superman and his abilities, how it would feel like to fly, to carry a lot of weight, and protect those who need it. I think having superpowers would be cool, but Superman taught me that even with no superpowers, you just got to do what you can with your own powers and abilities.

  • Tribute to his writers

And let us also not forget that Superman is the courage and strength of writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster over decades to win fair credit and compensation for their creation of one of the most recognizable and successful characters in global history.

  • The fight for truth and justice

I have the same attachment for the "S" man. I grew up reading his stories and I think its why I picked the profession I'm in now. If I can't fight for truth, justice and the American way in the courts then where can I?
