Where I see myself retiring
A small town and an hour away from Queenstown. This place is where I see myself retiring. I runaway from studentville (Dunedin) every weekend in winter to enjoy the mountain slopes, the peaceful serenity of the lake, views and the relaxed lifestyle that the town has to offer. It has a famous pie shop on the lakefront, one supermarket and a well equipped skate park. The only fast food chain store it has is subway, creating a healthy environment for the community. I awake in the morning from a friends couch and find myself lucky to be staring at one of the worlds most beautiful views. Yes, the nightlife and the foreign travellers add to the towns appeal especially for someone as young as me but this just adds to the atmosphere and ambience to the Wanaka appeal. I love to brag about this town and how often I go there. Almost like it makes me "cool" whenever people find out I visit Wanaka in my weekends.
