A means of connecting and understanding
I feel totally disconnected from the world without this wonderful paper. If crunched for time, I will always make a point to at least make it through the Top 10 most emailed articles, again, as a means of connecting and understanding what is so entertaining/appalling/interesting to my fellow readers.

Such diversity
The NY Times has been my homepage since 1997.....and I read it every day! It has such diversity of information, and great editorials. The magazine is something I look forward to every time I have the luxury of buying a Sunday edition and going through the entire paper.

Real news
I am pretty darned addicted to the Sunday New York Times and I read it online every day. I trust this to give me the real news, since outlets I used to use like the Today Show don't really focus on hard news anymore.
