My first car
This older model of Saab [Saatchi 96, model year 1973] was my first car. The car actually belonged to my mother and maybe I adore this model because I learned to drive in it and drove my first love around in it. It was made in an era where Saab still took pride in designing original, beautiful and a bit exentric cars. Something they forget to do nowadays.

I too love Saab
I too love Saab and was just about to buy one when my "mate" (tosser!!!) has just shafted me over the sale of one. I’m crying at my desk now. All week I was boasting to my under privileged colleagues about my new Saab but now the dream has died and they are making fun of me. I’m still in the lower class loop.

Oddball genius
I am the owner of a 34 year old Saab 96. I love it. It is the only car I know that was designed from the driver and passengers outwards, with everything coming from a tight and clearly defined brief - "What is the best way to get 4 people from A-B in Sweden in winter as fast as possible, in maximum comfort, and with the least chance of breaking down?" There are no compromises, and the result is a piece of oddball genius.

Smart, powerful and understated cars
Saab rocks. Saab is for those who love to drive smart, powerful and understated cars. I've just got my first Saab, a second-hand 1999 Saab 93 Turbo convertible. Black, sleek and says everything about me I want my car to. Let's face it...most of us blokes know sod all about what's going on under the bonnet! One day, maybe one day I'll get an Aero.

Nothing but pure driving pleasure
I drive a 1991 900 non turbo. I bought this car used, with serious mechanical problems since the previous owner neglected the car. I have nursed this vehicle back to life and am astounded at the punishment "Greta" has taken before my ownership. Fifteen years old, and I can say that this car has brought nothing but pure driving pleasure to me and my family. Driving 8K miles with a leaking head gasket, among other problems, I will repay the car's reliability with a full resoration over the next 2 years. I will not even look at the new Saabs. Even though it's difficult to find parts in Texas, from now on for me, it's 900 or nothing!

Yoga mats and kids toys are sexier in the 97X
SAAB caught me with its 2005 97X. I went so far as to scour the countryside to make sure I had the only Sapphire Blue in town. Being the 3rd on the road in my city, she is extremely fast, sexy and the perfect country club mum vehicle. Yoga mats and kids toys are sexier in the 97X. The ads were all however: having Elle McPherson getting out, the kids at carpool, now thats sex appeal! Whis is what I told SAAB as well. Our "saabblu" is the only in the carpool line, and I am happy about that! Viva exclusivity!

The new Saabs don't cut it
To be honest, the new Saabs don't cut it. They are just an Opal with a Saab badge. But the classic 900 and the 99 and 96 - they are all good.

That's pretty cool
I bought my first Saab upon being hit with my fourth repair this year on my Land Rover. I gladly kissed the gas guzzling SUV goodbye and absolutely love my new 2001 silver 9-5. I like the unique image of the Saab. Not everyone knows the griffin... and that's pretty cool.

Sophisticated obsession with quality
I have admired Saabs for years because of their unique design and safety record. Recently I purchased my first - an 01 93 - and have to say it was worth the wait. I have driven many cars but this is the smoothest, locked to the road, spirited ride I've experienced. There is also an air of taste and sophisticated obsession with quality that is part of the package. Love it, it drives like a dream.

Its core essence
On my 5th Saab! The reason the brand works so well is at its core essence - unique and unconventional. Sporty design and safety at the same time. Ignition on the floor console, handshake door handles, and all turbo-charged engines. People who own Saabs are not crowd followers--they make their own way. Incidentally, Saab owners have the highest education levels compared to owners of any other brand - now what does that say?
