A stand out champion

If you are about music with meaning, look no further. Hip-hop, historically, was about this very thing. But in the popular sense today it has become about self promotion, money, and to certain level ignorance and negativity. Enter Urthboy, a stand out champion in the ever growing genre of Australian Hip-Hop. His first album "Distant Sense of Random Menace" struck me with the dual layer of great beats and lyrics with meaning. This has been exceeded a hundredfold by last year's "The Signal" which is a stand alone example of great production (the genius El Gusto) and intelligent commentary of politcal and social issues. I dare you not to love it.
