BBC Radio is simply brilliant
BBC gives me what I wish I could get from my own national broadcaster. BBC manages to meet the needs of so many people, without alienating its core listeners. BBC Radio 4 is intelligent, thought-provoking and revolutionary. I would gladly pay for this service, but thanks to BBC's technological savvy, I don't have to. BBC Radio has a brilliant format which allows listeners to access so many programs at all hours through internet, podcasts, digital radio or long wave. BBC Radio is simply brilliant.

BBC at home
I didn't mind paying my licence fee for the BBC at home, and would gladly do so now I live overseas to be able to download programmes from the website which I cannot get over here.

Has kept me connected
I have lived outside of the Uk for 16 years now and the BBC World Service has kept me connected to my language while making me feel welcome as a 'global nomad'. Humour, honour and honesty have made this station a 'must have' in my life.

A real testament to objectivity
The news from the BBC on public radio in the United States is basically the only thing that is keeping the news even vaguely honest in this country. How a government-run outfit like the BBC can even be critical of the British prime minister, etc is a real testament to their objectivity. BRAVO!

The right ethics
It's not sensational or trashy. I like programs that let me make up my mind, or just show me something understated and beautiful. The people behind the BBC seem to understand that ethic.

BBC "provoked" all my senses
BBC - It's more than TV or radio - It's VIP seating for a panoramic view of our world. I travelled all the way from Puerto Rico in the Caribbean Sea to foogy London to pursue my college degree during the 1980s. The BBC instantly "provoked" all my senses, spirit and and intellect as it entertained, educated, and informed me while living abroad. Have you checked BBC's Corporate Vision? "Become the most creative and trusted organization in the world". No wonder it captivated my heart and my mind! Thanks to Cable TV, I still have my VIP seating with the BBC down here in the Tropics! Withdrawal symptoms
The BBC is a god-send. As an expat living in SE Asia it is often so hard to get the impartial and engaging coverage that BBC World offers. Without it I would feel isolated and out of touch. I recently checked into a hotel that had CNN news but not BBC. I got withdrawal symptoms and immediately unpacked all my laptop cables in a desperate attempt to get onto BBCi for my fix!

My Anglophilia has been satisfied.
It was only a few years ago that the BBC booked a one way ticket to the U.S. on the QE2. It soon became a ray of light amongst the thousands of bland television stations we are bombarded with here in the States. Since that time, my own cultural horizons have grown and matured along with its programming. Ever since crossing over to the "English channel", the word comedy has taken on a whole new meaning, home decorating has turned into something of a sport, and my gardens (or whatever you call the two by two patch of grass in front of my house) have blossomed. My Anglophilia has finally been satisfied. God bless the screen.
