Takes the intimidation out of home cooking
It seems like such an odd idea, but I love this channel! I think it helps introduce realistic cooking shows that really takes the intimidation out of home cooking. It helps bring more confidence in the kitchen, and more confidence in what you're willing to cook, and to try new foods. The shows are really up to date, and have a lot of ideas for families, like quick meals, and a lot of healthier ideas. Most of the shows are just flat-out entertaining, and they are adding a lot of non-cooking shows which make it a fun channel to have on all day. My current faves are Good Eats and Iron Chef.

I would have it on 24/7
I simply cannot get enough of this channel! If my kids would let me, I would have it on 24/7. Favorites include Jamie Oliver and Iron Chef.

Drawn to this channel beyond reason
Regardless of the program - and some are painfully bad with low production value, odd choices of foods etc - I am drawn to this channel beyond reason. A friend of mine put it as being so comforting in its predicatableness, such the predictability that Emeril, one of the chefs will yell "Bang" as he messes up a recipe. It is just great entertainment.
