The Lambretta was a range of motor scooters manufactured by the Italian company, Innocenti. Production of the Lambretta stopped in 1972.

    When you think scooter, the first name that comes to mind is probably 'Vespa'. But the Lambretta inspires even more fanatical devotion amongst owners and riders. If the Vespa is the utilitarian family sedan, the Lambretta is the high-performance long-wheelbase, luxury saloon. Piaggio (makers of the Vespa) and Innocenti (makers of the Lambretta) raced to create the first scooter, but very different design approaches led to two strong Lovemarks.
