The portraits are beautiful, other paintings are brutal. She was Mexican. It meant a lot to her art.

Her paintings can only touch your heart
I took art history at college for 2 years but when I first saw the work of this amazing Mexican artist, it was like a revelation. Frida paints things, people, scenes as they really are. Her paintings can only touch your heart and connect to your emotions. An inspirational woman moved by sensuality and passion, called by some as a rebel but as a "platonic" leader by me.
