Overrated and overpriced
I have tried these a few times (including at Coney Island) and think they are very overrated and overpriced. A good Chicago hot dog or a nice Kosher dog is far, far better.

This brand just screams AMERICAN
As a native Chicagoan, it is almost criminal that I enjoy Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs so much...I say lock me up and throw away the key! From the delightfully cheesy annual 4th of July Hot Dog Eating contest they run every year (man, that Takeru Kobayashi can eat!), to the wonderful history of their Coney Island location, this brand just screams AMERICAN. The flavor is just right, with not too many spices to overwhelm the beef, and these dogs taste just as wonderful boiled as they do staright off of the grill. Though I do have a twinge of guilt when I pass over the local Chicago favorite in the grocer’s case to grab a pack of Nathan’s, the guilt quickly washes away when I get to eat one. Of course, I do this all in disguise....
