  • Right on the Lovemark

Absolutely! Boeing is right on the Lovemark code with their new Brand Identity. Boeing has captured the magic of flying all over again for humans. As a child I saw the world through the eyes of my Aunt and Uncle and their travels spanning the globe. Different people, different cultures, different sites and experiences, and my growing collection of BOAC bags excited my imagination. When I flew for the first time I immediately became aware that all of my hopes and dreams as a child were becoming a reality. I was now a member of this community of global citizens. During the 787 Dreamliner rollout ceremonies on July 8th, I had the very great privilege to have a conversation with Mr. Joe Sutter, the Father of the 747. I asked him what he was feeling as he watched another high-risk leap of faith aircraft roll into existence. He said that he felt same sense the history as he did when he launched the very first 747-100. History was being made, and the people of the world were going to be the winners. I love the feeling of being a part of global history in the making, and opening doors for people around the world to experience the dreams of flight, and to become citizens of the world!

  • I'll take the 747

I was 8 when I first saw a 'Jumbo' jet. It circled low over Wellington (NZ) so we could see it (the airport was and is too small to land it). It was breathtaking. For the last 7 years I have travelled in a 747-400 every 3 weeks or so. I realised recently that it's the only plane I really enjoy travelling in, it makes me feel safer and more welcome than other planes. If there is a choice of aircraft to a destination I'll take the 747 - all other things being equal.
