  • I still want to see her fly again

I still love Concorde and I still want to see her fly again. My life has been very painful at times, but the Concordes were my light in the darkness. Their beauty uplifted and delighted me. Knowing that they could fly faster than sound, and out run time itself, gave me hope that I could overcome my trauma in a similar way. Seeing them decommissioned and mutilated, and sitting silent in museums, has made me feel that the light has gone from my world. I would do anything to get that light back.

  • The ultimate in power, speed, and beauty.

As a child I folded this plane in paper and dreamed as I watched it fly. As an adult I lived under its flight path and watched it thunder by. The ultimate in power, speed and beauty! The emotions and memories that this plane brings will remain forever, even if Concord can no longer fly.

  • A sight and sound to behold

The Concorde by far is the most beautiful and graceful aircraft that ever flew over NYC. I have two defining sightings of the Concorde that I will never forget. The first is driving past Kennedy airport on the service road and watching a Concorde coming in for a landing. I pulled over to the side of the road and watched this beautiful piece of machinery with it's deafening roar fly about 100 feet over me and land gracefully. A sight and sound to behold. The second, is sitting in Shea Stadium in NYC and watching a Concorde fly overhead. Once again so close, but yet so far. I never flew in a Concorde, and now I never will as the entire fleet has been retired. But I do have these two moments out of many Concorde sightings that will be etched in my memory forever.

  • The truth according to Christie's

The recent auction which took place at Christie's showed the truth: the 280 Concorde lots were sold at a factor 100 above the initial sales offering!

  • Form and function

The most beautiful machine ever created. The perfect blend of form and function. Interesting that BA created Concorde as a brand in a way that AF never did.

  • It's own singular identity

A spectactular symbol of technological achievement and by far the most beautiful aircraft in the sky. The sleek, delicate hull, that complex wing shape. No other machine makes people stop and gape as it passes. No other machine retains it's own singular identity - people don't ever say "There's a Concorde", just the one we love - The Concorde.
