The way all restaurants should be
Fantastic food, great personal service - the best calamari and venison my friends and family have ever had, lovely vegetarian options for me (especially the risotto balls - superb!). This is the way all restaurants should be, and you’re certainly not going to be over-charged on the wine either!!

My family all love Jojo's
My family all love Jojo's. The food is always fantastic and Nicky and Paul are the perfect hosts. The calamari is the best I have ever eaten, and the lamb cannon is mouthwateringly fabulous.

Nothing is too much
As a local I use Jo-Jos a lot (When you can get in) Its a great place to eat and the food is excellent. As an idea of the type of people who run it, my son and I turned up at 2:30 on a Friday lunchtime recently to find that they had stopped cooking for the afternoon and were in the process of closing up, but they sat us down and served us a complete meal which was most enjoyable and greatly appreciated. Nothing is too much trouble, so you can see why we like it there. Looking forward to it opening later this year.

Brilliant for an unfussy, unpretentious meal
I have been to JoJo's 3 times!! It is brilliant for an unfussy, unpretentious meal that is well cooked and absolutely delicous to eat. Seating is cozy, atmosphere, great especially if you like banter with your meal! Being a BYO means you can have a great value for money blow out before waddling home! Or in my case being driven back to Maidenhead, (yes, Maidenhead, Berkshire only 1 1/2 hours and well worth the trip). There is a 2 week booking policy i.e. don't try for more than 2 weeks in advance and check out their website.

Great place, run by great people
JoJo's is an atmospheric meze, meat and fish restaurant in Whitstable, Kent. Inside it is tiny, full of reclaimed wood and the fantastic smell of the chef, Nikki, cooking oh so simple dishes that are to die for! Locally sourced and fresh organic produce are the order of the day - all are stunningly prepared with a Mediterranean influence. To complete the atmosphere, they don't sell booze, so it's BYO (bring your own) and much better for it! I think they are currently closed for refurbishment (expanding downstairs) but are due to open in May. You would only really find JoJo's by word of mouth, or at least that was the case for me, but then they got reviewed in The Observer and The Saturday Telegraph and now booking is essential. Great place, run by great people serving great food!
