On my third Gremlin
I am on my third Gremlin. The first was a 1972 the second a 1973 and my current one is a 1971 with factory air and power steering. They were great cars when built and are great cars now!

Gone but not forgotten
The Gremlin, gone but not forgotten. Bought my Gremlin X off a AMC showroom floor in 1974. I was 19 and looking for a "cool" car. I had test driven a used 72 Cuda, and a 70 GTO, but I couldn't resist the new smell and the 304 V8. I lived in a small town, and this Gremlin X, after I "fixed it up" had deep dish cragers, air shocks, dual exhaust. That was all I knew how to do myself at that age! Was a real eye catcher! Bright red with black stripes, and matching interior. I also won quite a few street races with it. Anyone would race me. It was a Gremlin, but most didn't see the 5.0L on the back end until I passed them. Love to have another one right now just to cruse in. Oh the memories.

A 74 Gremlin which I still drive
My first new car was a 74 Gremlin which I still drive(6cyl/3spd/4bbl/headers/cam/quick!!). I also own a 70 Gremlin(199/auto), and a 76 (304/auto) and a 68 Javelin.

The perfect hot rod
I own a 73 Gremlin myself and tho most say its a dorky looking car. Mine has a well tuned AMC 360 V8 with a 4 speed and needless to say many go crazy over it. Gremlins make the perfect hot rod.

That same passion
My first encounter with a Gremlin was my sister's black w/yellow stripe model. I can't remember the model year, but it had a V8 with a manual trans and boy could she drive that thing!!!! I'm now in a position where I'm finally looking for my own Gremlin. Hopefully, I'll transmit that same passion to my kids when I find the right car!

Adored by all who encountered it
I first encountered this automobile while I was a child and thought they were very curious. Years later I bought a purple 1971 Gremlin from the behind of an elderly lady's garage and fixed it up for a work car. I was not expecting the pep it had and its uniqueness seemed to be adored by all who encountered it. I since have collected several more and still enjoy driving and showing them off.
