My taste for special beer

I was just seventeen on my first holiday without my parents when I fell in love with Limburg (Limburg the most beautiful part of the Netherlands) and the beer which is brewed here. Drinking the local beer is an inevitable part of the tradition of youngsters camping in Limburg. This tradition developed my taste for special beer. My first taste of special beer was Gulpener Dort. Which is always my standard to compare any beer to. The Gupener beer is brewed with love and respect for nature and culture. Recently the Gulpener-brewery has improved their traditional brew methods with a number of measures to decrease the demands a brewery has on the environment. For instance by using sun collectors on their neon ads. Or recycling their waste in healthy pig’s food. All this wise and healthy improvements has increased my love for this beer.
