Long may he live!

I love Vernon - he's my bike. Well, actually, he's not just a bicycle, he is Vernon the Ridgeback Velocity. He is my second, Vera was stolen: tears were shed. I'm on good terms with Vernon, we understand each other. He knows when my knees are cranky and my vision is tired, and he'll slow down to help me out. We had a disagreement once with a newly tarnished road, poor Vern felt a bit flat. Other than that, he's never let me down, and he's shown me some of the most amazing sights in London. I try to give him presents (latest was a speedometer). He really does me proud, long may he live!
