A portal for our future creativity
The Southbank is a wonderful arena for London’s creativity. For many years I have walked along the Thames, from Dali Universe, to The Royal Festival Hall, The Hayward Gallery, the Book market under the bridge near the Film Centre, past the Oxo Tower and its plentiful creative outlets, up to the Tate and the Design Museum. The Tate Modern is a wonderful brand and portal for our future creativity.

Definitely a lovemark candidate
The whole London Bankside region is sooo cool. Tower bridge, Globe theatre, Tate, London Eye, Saatchi(I've overlooked a few more treasures, I'm sure). Ethereal St. Paul's overlooks from across the Thames. Yes, Tate is definitely a lovemark candidate, but it gets a very big boost from its environs!

It has redefined London
It has redefined London as the capital of the modern art world and created a space where even non-arty people can socialise, especially when it stays open till late. How wonderful to go out for a meal and then enjoy art while slightly tipsy.
